She has been a paramedic since 1983 and was also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, CPR, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. A Trauma Nursing Core Course Instructor, Sylvia remained at the forefront of her challenging field via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations, such as the Emergency Nursing Association. “When Sylvia was a young girl, she played outside and the favorite game was nursing those who wrecked their bicycles.
